For the first time in Afghanistan six universities were awarded Grade A National Accreditation Certificates in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Higher Education. The accreditation was awarded based on the recommendation of the External Peer Reviewers of the QAAD with technical support of HEDP. The Grade A accredited universities are:
· Kabul University
· Kardan University
· Kabul Medical University
· American University of Afghanistan
· Kandahar University
· Kateb University
Association of Private Universities and Institutes of Higher Education in Afghanistan, thereafter “APUIHEA” is a national, not-for-profit and non-governmental organization representing, supporting, and taking forward rightful interests and concerns of the private higher education sector in Afghanistan.
